Big Arts Week is taking place exclusively in Wales in 2006. 

Welsh schools and artists from all the creative disciplines are invited to register online to be a part of Big Arts Week 2006.

Please note:

Big Arts Week is NOT taking place England or Scotland this year so if you are based in England or Scotland, please do not register.  You are still able to contact the team for more information.

Artist Registrations have been extended to 1 May 2006.

We want to encourage involvement from as many people working across the arts as possible, from painters to dancers, actors to architects, commercial artists to circus performers, to visit their local school and inspire children with their enthusiasm and ideas.

All primary, secondary and special schools in Wales are also encouraged to register to take part in Big Arts Week 2065. We will try and match you with an artist who will come into school to help inspire and encourage pupils to engage in the arts. The definition 'artist' will be as wide and varied as possible, to give everyone the chance to become exposed to innovative methods and ways of thinking.

If we are unable to match an artist to your school we will provide innovative ideas that will ensure your school can actively take part.

We will match schools to an artist according to postcode in April, and then mail an information pack containing practical guidelines and project ideas.
